Next: Sunday, 20 December 2026.

Gita Jayanti, Mokshada Ekadashi of Mangsir, marks the day the Bhagavad Gita was spoken at Kurukshetra. The International Gita Mahotsav at Brahma Sarovar runs for around two weeks with evening aarti, deep-daan, a crafts fair from every state and cultural programmes. Jyotisar, about 12 km away, is the traditional spot of the sermon.

Dates are calculated for Kurukshetra; local panchangs may differ by a day when a tithi spans two sunrises.
