Not every state holiday closes banks — Haryana's Schedule-III (NI Act) list is shorter than the gazetted list, so days like Basant Panchami, Shaheedi Diwas or Raksha Bandhan close government offices but usually not banks. Check the RBI holiday list for Kurukshetra before visiting a branch. UPI, net banking and ATMs keep working on bank holidays.

1 April

Banks close to the public on 1 April for annual account closing, even though government offices stay open.
